How to use the Catalog

We now share our catalog in a wonderful system called MassCat. You can search and you can request items from other libraries.

To search

Click HERE or "Search the Catalog" in the sidebar.

If you don't log in, it will automatically search the whole MassCat library system.

If you log in, it will search Pelham's library by default. To search the whole system, click on the bottom left tab, which says "Search all MassCat Libraries.".

To reserve or request items (from Pelham or other libraries)

You will need to log in by giving:

• User name (your first initial and last name, no spaces)
• Password (your 4-digit library card number--call the desk at 253-0657 to be reminded of your number)

Search for your wanted item (search options such as Author, Title are in the down arrow where it says "Library catalog). Then

• Click "Place Hold" at the end of the book description
• When the confirmation screen appears, click "Place Hold" again.
